DUSK & BLACKDOWN - “HIGH ROAD” (FEAT. BURIAL)
Liar - “Liar”
This guy appeared out of nowhere - well, to be precise he comes from Romania. It is still a mistery to me though how fast he evolved with his sound. You can here some hints from Burial, Koreless and the good UK-peer.
BURIAL & FOUR TET - “NOVA”
“Nova” meaning the new one - hitting the nail on the head.
The collobaration between producers Burial and Four Tet has been a very productive one until today. “Productive” meaning “of good quality” in this case.
This brings me to explain one more time about what i want to do with this blog: my posts are rare sometimes, however I like to keep the quality up. I dont want to throw out average stuff, just what really hits me hard (thats why I am often uber-euphoric about those few tunes). Expect everything else not to be noticed by me (which is not so likely) or just average and not worth posting on here.
BURIAL - “LONER”
It’s finally out there. Probably the clubbiest Burial track released on Hyperdub until today - with the usual haunting production. Listen all the way through it: the ending is amazing.
OLD APPARATUS - “HAND TO MOUTH”
God gave us an ambient Burial here. He has gotten a lot of hype over the last half a year, but this track is the most convincing one to me yet.
MASSIVE ATTACK VS BURIAL - “PARADISE CIRCUS”
Totally agree with the radio host: this is absolutely glorious!
MASSIVE ATTACK VS BURIAL - “FOUR WALLS”
No joke - the most anticipated collaboration this year and one of the greatest ambient tunes for me!
ZOMBY - “NATALIA’S SONG”
Being without internet sucks major time. I tell you that! I promise to post regularly again soon once this crappy phase is over.
Until then enjoy this … I admit .. weird video of one of my favorite tracks of last year.
FLYING LOTUS - BURIED MIX 2
A potential track off the DJ-Kicks by Burial, which was rumored to be released in 2008, has surfaced. Still, there is no sign that William Bevan will get this thing out any time soon.
We would even forgive a 3 year delay, wouldn’t we? However, until this mix actually surfaces all we can do is pray.
BURIAL - SHELL OF LIGHT (SHLOHMO REMIX)
It takes a real master to remix Burial’s work. Shlomo, who indeed focuses on slow-mo aesthetics, delivers a well-crafted piece of work. Actually, this is an understatement as his effort is f-ing brilliant!
