KASSEM MOSSE - “IP MIRRORS”

Let me start of by saying that the UK-bass-culture is not necessarily the style I am particularly interested in. However, with the growing number of producers that create a great new style out of techno, bass and house, there is a need for me to follow this development.

The new “Think & Change” compilation features some of the most interesting artists coming from that realm of hybrid music like - just to mention a few - Four Tet, Instra:mental and Pearson Sound. While the aforementioned drop some amazing tracks on that release, I was actually totally blown away by Kassem Mosse’s effort on that release.”IP Mirrors” is a subtle grower of hypnotic force.

MARIUS FUNK - “THE MOST BEAUTIFUL GIRL Mix”

I know it’s been a while. However, I think i can make up for it presenting my latest mix, which I am really proud of. As usual I won’t present a tracklist but I assure you it’s worth a listen as it might be my best to date.

BONOBO - “STAY THE SAME” (MARK PRITCHARD REMIX)

Bonobo’s new remix cd is out for a few days now - at times rather abstract but strikingly beautiful. Just to mention a few of the remixers on those two cds should have people’s jaws drop: FaltyDL, Floating Points, Lapalux, Machinedrum, Four Tet, Applebim … whoa!!!

DOC DANEEKA & ABIGAIL WYLES - TOBYJUG

After a great collaboration on the outstanding album “They! Live” by Doc Daneeka and Benjamin Damage - the singer Abigail Wyles provided vocals for three songs on the cd, among them the outstanding “Battleships” - Daneeka teams up with her again. Really smooth track here, have a listen!
